PROJECTS

Iceland Sessions is a series of improvised performances recorded while traveling with my family across southern Iceland in September 2025. Using the SOMA Terra synthesizer and frame drum, I set up wherever the environment suggested and permitted something musical—wind, weather, and the landscape itself shaping the phrasing and direction of each take.

All performances were recorded live on location, with no overdubs, using natural light and minimal gear. After returning home, I edited the material, incorporating still photos from the areas we visited and blending the Terra and drum recordings into complete pieces. Since the percussion and Terra parts were often captured in different locations, each video becomes a snapshot of a place, a moment, and the musical decisions that rose from being fully inside the environment.

Speleogenesis

Speleogenesis

Chants and Dave Schoepke

Wisconsin-based producer and drummer Chants (The Trilogy Tapes, Maximum Airtime, Astral Plane Recordings) meets master drummer Dave Schoepke on this all-drums LP for Brussels-based Maloca Records. ‘Speleogenesis’ blends live drumming with dub techniques and dancefloor-informed production, guided by imagery of a subterranean world. It’s a full-circle moment, as the two met when Chants (aka Jordan Cohen) took drum lessons from Schoepke during his teenage years.
